Decision infrastructure for food

Measured identity, from harvest to shelf.

VerusIQ builds the infrastructure for measured product identity. We combine physical measurement with supply-chain evidence, bind both to the product, and turn it into confidence you can act on.

Why we exist

On its way to the shelf, food changes hands many times.

Each hand-off adds paperwork. None of it checks what's actually in the package.

How it works

We measure the product, and the proof travels with it.

We start with the records suppliers already keep, add lab measurement, and give every lot one score. No new systems for suppliers.

  1. Step 1

    Connect

We ingest the supplier, operational and lab data that already exists, in whatever form: PDFs, photos, spreadsheets. Suppliers join without replacing their systems.

    Records · Certificates · QA · ERP

  2. Step 2

    Verify

We standardize the records into GS1 events, coordinate lot-based testing with accredited labs, and bind each measurement to its lot.

    GS1 · eDNA · qPCR · FTIR

  3. Step 3

    Score

We compare declared and measured evidence, flag gaps and conflicts, and produce one Identity Confidence Score across species, origin and journey.

    Species · Origin · Journey

  4. Step 4

    Travel

The score is bound to the product and delivered wherever decisions get made: buying systems, retailer apps, and the shelf.

Who it's for

Meeting buyers, brands and consumers where they are.

And helping them evolve towards the place they want to be, with one score that shows up in the buying system, in the brand's own records, and on the pack.

Retailers

Buyers, sourcing and QA teams

Make buying decisions and back shelf claims with evidence, not declarations.

  • Compare suppliers and lots by measured identity
  • Accept, hold, verify or escalate incoming lots
  • Protect private-label brands with faster, narrower recalls

Brands and suppliers

Brand owners, processors and packers

Prove your claims using the data you already have. Upgrade your score with measurement.

  • Show that your product, specifically, matches the claim
  • Catch problems upstream, before shipment
  • Protect the premium and margin your claims depend on

Consumers

Shoppers at the shelf

Scan the package to see where your food came from and how confident you can be in that answer.

  • Scan the GS1 2D barcode on the pack
  • See species, origin and the journey to the shelf
  • Know the premium you pay buys what it promises

Also built for insurers, procurement and food service, certification bodies and border agencies.

Measurement will not replace declaration. It will sit beside it, resolved into one record and one score, and in many categories it will become as ordinary as the barcode.

Talk to us
Does VerusIQ replace certification or traceability systems?

No. We work alongside certification bodies, declaration platforms and laboratories, not in place of them. Their records feed into the score, and measurement strengthens it.

Do suppliers need to change how they work?

No. We ingest the data they already keep, in whatever form it exists. Measurement is an upgrade path, not a prerequisite.

What does the score measure?

How confident you can be that a product's species, origin and journey claims are true, based on the quality, consistency and uncertainty of the evidence behind them. Scores run from 300 to 999; declarations alone reach at most 500.

How is this different from a lab test?

A lab test is a single result, usually commissioned after something has gone wrong. VerusIQ binds every piece of evidence to the lot and puts it to work before the product ships.

Which categories do you cover?

We are starting with seafood, where documented fraud, regulatory pull, premium claims and reliable methods all meet. Honey, cheese and dairy, and herbs and spices are next in line.
